EAST LOMBOK – The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Akademi Komunitas Olat Maras (AKOM) Sumbawa, Fajar Rachmat, paid an official visit to the Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP) in Lenek, East Lombok, widely known as the International BLK of Lenek.

The visit was aimed at exploring potential collaboration between AKOM Sumbawa and BPVP East Lombok in strengthening vocational education and training programs.

BPVP East Lombok is recognized as one of the leading vocational training institutions in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Located in Lenek District, the center also oversees vocational training centers (BLK) in Bali and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Upon arrival, CEO Fajar Rachmat was warmly received by the Head of BPVP, Imran Tahir. The meeting, held in the center’s coffee shop area, began with a coffee session prepared directly by a professional barista. During the discussion, both leaders exchanged insights on BPVP’s training programs and institutional development.

Fajar Rachmat also presented an overview of vocational education at AKOM Sumbawa, highlighting its programs in Heavy Equipment Operation, Renewable Energy, and Poultry Agribusiness.

Spanning approximately 15 hectares, BPVP East Lombok supervises various BLK/LLK institutions across NTB and provides nationally recognized competency certification through the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).

BPVP East Lombok prioritizes five main sectors in its training programs: Agriculture, Information Technology, Energy Downstreaming, Hospitality (Tourism and Hotel Management), and Healthcare. The institution actively delivers market-oriented training programs, particularly in support of the tourism and agricultural sectors in West Nusa Tenggara.

“There are several opportunities that we can synergize,” said Fajar.
